CMBHClinical Research Partner With CMBH

UNITY SITE NETWORK Part of the CMBH research platform

Physician-led sites, built to run studies well

Unity develops and coordinates independent physician practices into qualified research sites, led by physicians and supported by experienced CRO partners.

What Unity is

The site-development and coordination network

Unity Site Network is the site-development and coordination arm of CMBH. It helps independent practices build research capability, connect with suitable studies, and work within one consistent, high-quality operating framework.

Physician leadership

Vipul Dev, MD

Board-certified plastic surgeon and principal investigator, Bakersfield, California. Physician leader, Unity Site Network.

Dr. Dev leads Unity's site-development strategy and oversees day-to-day operations across participating sites. He manages other physicians at multiple sites and has experience running multi-site clinical trial operations, including work alongside SerenaGroup.

  • Leads site development and physician onboarding
  • Manages physician investigators across multiple sites
  • Collaborates with senior research leaders and the technical partner

Operating model

Who Unity is built for

Primary focus

L2 Advancing Investigators

Qualified physicians building deeper research experience, publications and scientific contributions.

  • Readiness and training
  • Study activation and operations
  • L1 mentors may support scientific development
Primary focus

L3 Emerging Research Sites

Practices interested in becoming qualified research sites.

  • Readiness assessment and guidance
  • Training and study-specific support
  • Some may begin as referral-only, without trial-site duties
Selective focus

L1 Distinguished Investigators

Experienced research leaders whose sites may use Unity coordination.

  • May mentor L2 and L3 colleagues
  • May lead multi-site programs

Unity coordinates site operations and physician development. Each trial site still requires its own appropriately qualified investigator, who keeps protocol-specific regulatory and clinical duties. An L1 lead investigator does not automatically replace the investigator of record at other sites. L1, L2 and L3 are CMBH program designations, not FDA classifications. Applying does not mean automatic site acceptance or guaranteed study allocation.

A path that grows with you

From first study to lead investigator

Start

Research-ready practice

Assess readiness, train your team and join as a site, with support through your first studies.

Grow

Site investigator

Build trial experience and a documented record, with experienced investigators as mentors.

Lead

Lead investigator

Take scientific leadership of a program across several sites, based on evidence and performance.

What Unity provides

Support from first assessment to active study

Site qualification

Readiness assessments.

Investigator onboarding

Onboarding and GCP training coordination.

Startup and activation

Startup and activation support.

Feasibility

Protocol feasibility and patient-population matching.

Coordination

Coordinator and workflow support where contracted.

Standard practices

Standardized operating practices and quality escalation.

Reporting

Site performance and enrollment reporting.

Mentoring

Mentoring relationships with L1 investigators.

Status. Unity is a network in development. Nothing here means a site is active or a study is enrolling.

Vote on the studies you want to do

Emerging Research Sites and independent practices: tell us what you want to work on. We count the votes, see who wants what, and pursue the studies with the most real demand, together.

1. Vote on the indications you want

Open each group and mark every indication you want. Choose as many as you like, and mark your top picks as Top priority. We use the totals to decide which studies to pursue together.
